About the role

We’re a US robotics company hiring a remote motion graphics developer in India, paid per clip. SRCo Academy is our online, text-first course for robot field technicians. Most of its video is real robot footage. Where no good clip exists, such as networking or basic electrical, you’ll build short 2D animations in code that explain one idea clearly.

What you’ll do

  • Build short 2D explainer videos (30 to 90 seconds) in code, using Remotion (React) or similar tools for animation, labels and captions.
  • Animate clear diagrams of robots and concepts: sensors, motors, batteries, wiring and networking.
  • Work from written storyboards we provide, and suggest better visuals when you see them.
  • Use commercially licensed stock from Envato Elements or LottieFiles when it helps, and record the license for each asset.
  • Follow the SRCo design system (Manrope, our green, plenty of white space) and keep one consistent style across every clip.
  • Render final MP4s, keep all source in our GitHub repo, and make small revisions after technical review.
  • Start with one paid pilot clip, such as basic electrical (Ohm’s law). If it goes well, we continue module by module.

What we need

  • Required: a portfolio of 2D motion graphics or animated explainers.
  • Remotion, Motion Canvas, or other code-based animation, plus React and TypeScript.
  • Technical explainer work: showing how things work, not just ads. Robotics or engineering topics are a plus.
  • Clear written English, comfort working async, and good Git habits.
  • Nice to have: Lottie or After Effects, SVG or diagram skills, and experience building component libraries for video.

Service Robot Co. sells, leases, and services commercial robots on-site - deployed and kept running across all 50 US states by regional service engineers. The work here is the field: the people who set the machines up, keep them running, and answer for the downtime.
