Avidbots is a Kitchener, Ontario maker of autonomous floor-cleaning robots called Neo, Neo 2W and Kas. Service Robot Co. is a different kind of company. We pick the right cleaning robot for your floors and shifts, lease it on a 3-year lease with a $1 buyout, deploy it, train your team and service it.

Who is Avidbots?

Avidbots describes itself as headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario, with fully autonomous cleaning robots named Neo, Neo 2W and Kas. Source

On October 20, 2026 Avidbots and Brain Corp announced they had resolved their patent litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Source

What should you ask any floor-scrubber maker?

Outside sources, quoted and linked. Check each point on your own sites.

Avidbots and Brain Corp said in their joint statement that the court dismissed all claims and counterclaims with prejudice, in a resolution that was confidential and entered into without admission of liability by either company.

An independent review on leapscopeai lists, among limits to check, that Avidbots Neo has warranty terms not stated, hard floors only, and needs an operator to supervise and resume.
leapscopeai review of Avidbots Neo (summary)

Where does it fit on your site?

Where do large autonomous scrubbers fit?

A Leapscope review of the Neo says it suits airports, malls, warehouses and other big hard-floor sites, and is too large for small offices and shops. If your building is a large open floor cleaned overnight, a scrubber of this class is worth a hard look. If it is a clinic, office or a floor with carpet, a different machine may fit better. Bring your floor areas, floor types and cleaning hours to a site assessment and we will tell you honestly which class of machine fits, including when a smaller one does. Source

What does the review say the robot still needs from people?

The same review says the Neo pauses when blocked, an operator has to check and resume it, Avidbots recommends supervision, and someone fills and drains the tanks. Plan a named person per shift for those tasks. We set that role up with your team at the site assessment, whichever machine fits. Think of that as a job description, not a flaw. Every autonomous floor machine has one, and the lease should name who covers it on nights and weekends. Source

How do cleaning reports help?

Leapscope notes a web dashboard with coverage maps and quality ratings, and weekly summary emails. Reports matter if you clean for clients or answer to an auditor. Ask any maker which reports are included, who can see them and how long the history is kept. Ask each maker to show a sample report for a site like yours, and ask who explains the numbers to your manager each week. Source

What is the consumables picture?

The review lists floor pads, pad drivers, brushes, squeegees, batteries and detergent as ongoing items, and notes Avidbots recommends its own parts. Ask who supplies them, how fast they ship and who changes them on site. Ask what is needed on day one, what you restock yourself and who delivers parts, so no part of the route stops while you wait. Why talk to an integrator first?

Going direct to one maker gets you that maker’s machine. Service Robot Co. starts from your site instead. We pick the right machine for it, lease it to you, deploy it, train your team and service it. One company owns the result.

How does the lease work?

A 3-year lease with a $1 buyout at the end. You see the terms before you commit.

  1. Assess

A free site assessment of the floors, routes and hours you want to cover. We look at the layout, the people and the work.

  2. Lease

We pick the right machine for your site and quote a 3-year lease with a $1 buyout at the end.

  3. Deploy and train

We map the site, set the routes and no-go areas and train your team to run the robot day to day.

  4. Service

One number when something stops. Support, service engineers, check visits and a warranty are listed below.

What should you ask before you sign?

Ask these of Avidbots, of us, or of anyone selling you a robot.

  1. Which exact Neo model and cleaning head are in my quote, and are they right for my floor types?
  2. Does the quote include hard floors only, and what do I do about carpet areas?
  3. Who fills and empties the tanks, and what does that add to a shift?
  4. Who supports the robot locally, and how fast does a technician reach my site?
  5. What are the warranty terms in writing?
  6. Which parts and consumables are required, and from whom?
  7. Who owns the cleaning reports and coverage data?
  8. After the October 2026 patent resolution, is there anything that changes software updates or support for my model?

Who should go direct to Avidbots instead?

Going direct is the right call for some buyers. We would rather say so than take a lease that does not fit.

  • You run a very large site, know you want Neo or Kas, and want the maker as your only contact.
  • You have an in-house team that will manage mapping, training and service.
  • You are comfortable running a demo and scoping the machine yourself.
  • If no robot fits your site yet, we will say so at the assessment.
