Keenon Robotics is a Shanghai-based maker of commercial service robots for restaurant and hotel delivery and cleaning. Service Robot Co. is a different kind of company. We pick the right machine for your site, lease it on a 3-year lease with a $1 buyout, deploy it, train your crew and service it.
Who is Keenon Robotics?
KR Asia, reprinting a 36Kr interview in September 2025, says Keenon has sold more than 100,000 commercial robots and has a presence in more than 60 countries and regions. It cites an IDC report placing Keenon first in the global commercial service robot market. Source
Service Robot Co. is not affiliated with Keenon Robotics, and this page is not from Keenon Robotics.
What do public sources say to ask any maker?
Outside sources, quoted and linked. Check each point on your own sites.
36Kr’s September 2025 profile, citing China Entrepreneur, reported an anonymous employee saying Keenon had little cash in 2019. This is history, and the article covers how the company has since grown.
The same 36Kr piece reports that after the market slowdown from the second half of 2021 Keenon reduced its personnel scale and focused on its product lines, per a SoftBank Asia investor. A separate investor, Songhe Capital, is reported as warning about how such changes are handled. That warning came from an outside investor.
An independent reviewer at Anton Robots calls the DinerBot T5 a legacy model and says anyone considering older models should ask about lifecycle, parts availability, software activation and support. It is one reviewer’s view, not a view of Keenon’s current lineup.
Where does it fit on your site?
Where do Keenon robots show up?
KR Asia’s 2025 interview describes Keenon’s early deployment at a hotpot restaurant chain, where food runners made many trips per shift. The company’s product range covers delivery, cleaning and guiding. That breadth suits operators with hotel, restaurant and facility needs, but each job has different demands. Match the machine to the route and the task. We pick across brands for each site. Source
What does ordering from an overseas maker involve?
With a maker based in Shanghai, the questions are practical: who installs, who trains the crew, who stocks parts and who answers during your hours. The Anton review of an older model asks anyone considering it to check lifecycle, parts availability, software activation and support. We handle these for the machine we pick, so you deal with one company at your site. Source
What does your crew keep?
Runners and servers keep the guest-facing work. KR Asia quotes Keenon’s CEO saying staff stepped in when robots failed during early deployments, which is a fair picture of a real rollout: the crew backs up the robot. We train your team on restarts, handoffs and what to do when a route is blocked. Your crew also learns which tasks stay with them, such as plating and table checks. Source
What does week one look like?
We walk your site, choose the job and route, and set charging and Wi-Fi. On install day we run real shifts with your crew. In the first weeks we watch where the robot stalls, adjust, and retrain staff. You deal with one company at your site, in your time zone, instead of managing an overseas maker’s support yourself. Plan for that backup role in the rollout, not as an afterthought.
Why talk to an integrator first?
Going direct to one maker gets you that maker’s machine. Service Robot Co. starts from your site instead. We pick the right machine for it, lease it to you, deploy it, train your team and service it. One company owns the result.

What should you ask before you sign?
Ask these of Keenon Robotics, of us, or of anyone selling you a robot.
- Who installs and services a Keenon robot in my state?
- How long will this model stay in production, and how long are parts supported?
- How is software activation handled, and are there fees?
- Who owns the maps and data the robot collects?
- What happens if the maker restructures or changes its overseas support?
- Can I switch to a different machine during the term?
- Who answers at 2am, in my time zone?
- Who trains my crew, and who retrains new hires?

Who should go direct to Keenon Robotics instead?
Going direct is the right call for some buyers. We would rather say so than take a lease that does not fit.
- You know you want a Keenon robot and only need that one maker.
- You are comfortable owning install, training and the support relationship with a maker based overseas.
- You want one maker’s range, from delivery to cleaning.
- If no robot fits your site yet, we will say so at the assessment.
