Four sites, one cleaning standard

Food plants depend on their sanitation routines. Floors, drains and high-contact surfaces have to be cleaned on a schedule that holds through every shift, and a gap in that schedule is where hygiene problems tend to start. For a food manufacturer operating four facilities, the difficulty was not one site in particular. It was keeping coverage consistent across all four.

Adding people to close the gaps does not scale neatly. Cleaning crews working staggered shifts across several buildings leave uneven coverage, and supervisors end up checking whether the work happened instead of improving how it happens. The operation needed a routine it could measure, repeat and extend to every facility without rebuilding the program each time.

A phased fleet, mapped before it moved

The deployment placed 28 autonomous cleaning robots across all four sites, managed through the AI Copilot layer that comes with the fleet. Rollout was phased rather than switched on all at once. Facility mapping and robot configuration came first, in week one, so each site's layout was captured before the fleet began its routes.

Fourteen robots were then added at the remaining two facilities. Network validation and dashboard activation followed around days 43 to 46, which brought the full four-facility deployment to completion in 46 days.

What the reported numbers show

The vendor reports a 72% reduction in hygiene incidents once the fleet was running across the four facilities. The reported sanitation score reached 98.1%, and the fleet covered about 214,000 square feet of floor space.

All figures here are vendor-reported. The most useful operational point is consistency: each site ran on the same mapped and configured routine, so results can be compared from one facility to the next and the cleaning standard holds across the network.

What this means for a multi-site cleaning program

Service Robot Co. is a full-service, OEM-neutral commercial robot integrator for US businesses. We select the right robots across manufacturers, then finance, deploy, integrate, train and service every unit through a nationwide US engineer network, so a multi-site operator works with one partner instead of several.

For a cleaning program like this one, the practical path starts with a site assessment and mapping. Robots are offered on a 3-year lease with one fixed payment quoted after that assessment, and go-live support carries the rollout through the network checks that close a phased deployment.

Frequently asked questions

The reported deployment used 28 autonomous cleaning robots across four sites, covering about 214,000 square feet. Fleet size depends on floor area, layout and how often each zone needs cleaning. Every site is different, so the right count comes out of a site assessment.
