Key takeaways
- A monthly restroom robot price is only comparable once service visits, consumables and outage terms are written into it.
- Primech says Hytron carries predictable monthly costs, but its December 2025 release gave no dollar figure for that fee.
- Somatic's pricing page lists flat monthly tiers from 1,500 to 4,500 dollars, scaled by operating hours, with deployment included.
- Ask every vendor for the robot, station, software and warranty on one line, plus term length and early-exit terms.
What a monthly restroom robot price actually covers
A monthly restroom robot price tells you a payment, not a package. Two vendors can quote the same number and deliver very different service, because one may include deployment, consumables and on-site visits while the other leaves them out. The Primech Hytron announcement and Somatic's public pricing page show two different ways these claims get written.
Read the claim first, then the exclusions. Primech says it offers Hytron through a robotics as a service model with predictable monthly costs and comprehensive service support, according to its December 2025 press release. That is a claim about predictability. The release does not state a monthly fee, so it cannot yet be compared with a priced offer.
What Primech has said about Hytron pricing so far
Primech announced Hytron on December 19, 2025, ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas, which ran January 6 to 9. Vendor-reported details include chemical-free electrolyzed water cleaning, self-charging, automatic water management and a 200-unit fleet commitment through Swan Hygiene Solutions. The company also said mass production would begin in the first quarter of 2026. These are vendor statements, reported through the release and summaries of it.
The release names no monthly dollar figure, and I found no public Hytron price in this search. Its claim of over 99 percent bacterial reduction is described as independently tested, but that is also vendor-reported. A careful buyer asks for the test report behind the headline. Third-party coverage names airports, hospitals, hotels, malls and office buildings as likely sites.
What Somatic's published tiers reveal, and what they leave open
Somatic's pricing page lists flat monthly tiers: 1,500 dollars a month for 8 hours a day on weekdays, 3,000 dollars for 16 hours a day on weekdays, and 4,500 dollars for 16 hours a day on weekdays and weekends. Each tier lists deployment as included and an hourly equivalent of 8.63 dollars on weekdays. The page says pricing reflects operating time and that Somatic handles deployment and onboarding. The page carries no visible date, so confirm it before you budget.
Hours are the lever. The page lists toilets, urinals, floors, open doors, trash pickup, refilling water and chemicals, and recharging as tasks, with up to eight hours of continuous runtime. A third-party article puts Somatic at about 1,000 dollars a month with no upfront equipment purchase, and a 2023 Fox News piece repeats that figure. Those are older or secondhand numbers. They show how far published figures can drift from the current vendor page.
Which costs monthly quotes often leave out
Service visits are where monthly quotes diverge most. The third-party Somatic summary says the subscription covers the robot, maintenance, software updates and remote monitoring support. Remote monitoring is not an on-site visit, and a vendor's own paperwork may describe these items in different words. Compare the wording, not the headline.
Consumables and the charging station are the next gap. The PanPanTech guide notes that some resellers price the station separately, and it advises asking for the robot, station, software and warranty as one line. A restroom unit that refills water and chemicals makes consumables a real budget line, and none of the sources I reviewed says whether a monthly fee covers them.
Outage coverage is the least visible item. None of the sources I reviewed states what happens to coverage during a building outage or a unit failure. Ask for that answer in writing, with a replacement path and response times, before you treat any monthly figure as complete.
How term length and exit terms change the monthly math
PanPanTech's 2026 guide says robotics as a service subscriptions for commercial cleaning robots typically run 600 to 2,000 dollars a month with service included, on a 24 to 36 month term. The same guide tells buyers to check minimum terms, early-exit fees and usage caps. It is a general guide, not restroom-specific, so use it for contract shape rather than for restroom pricing.
RobotLAB lists cleaning robot subscriptions at 669 to 869 dollars a month on 36-month terms on its retail and hotel pages. Those are floor robots for other settings, not restroom units, but the pattern is useful. A low monthly figure on a long term can cost more in total than a higher figure on a shorter, clearly bounded term, once exit fees and caps are added.
A like-for-like checklist before comparing quotes
Put every quote through the same questions before you rank them. Vendors answer these differently, and the gaps decide the real cost.
- How many hours per day and days per week does the price cover, and what is the runtime per charge?
- Are deployment, mapping and go-live support included, or billed separately?
- Who supplies water, chemicals and any filters, and who restocks them?
- Is the charging station part of the same line as the robot?
- How many service visits are included, what are the response times, and does remote triage count as a visit?
- What happens during an outage or unit failure, and how quickly is a replacement in place?
- Which tasks are covered, and is any deep cleaning still done by people?
- What is the minimum term, the early-exit fee, and any usage cap?
Where Service Robot Co. fits when you compare
Service Robot Co. is a full-service commercial robot integrator for US businesses. We are OEM neutral, so we select robots across manufacturers, then finance, deploy, integrate, train and service every unit through a nationwide US engineer network. One vendor covers the whole lifecycle, which keeps the service questions above in one place.
We lease robots only. Our offer is a three-year lease with one fixed payment, quoted after a site assessment. That payment reflects the floor, the traffic and the hours at your facility rather than a catalog tier. We apply the same checklist above to every option we consider, including our own, so the comparison stays like for like.
