Kress is a robotic mower brand owned by Positec, sold and installed through dealers. This page is for commercial buyers. Service Robot Co. is a different kind of company. We pick the right machine for your properties, lease it on a 3-year lease with a $1 buyout, deploy it, train your crew and service it.
How does Kress sell its robotic mowers?
Mowing Magic says Kress is owned by the Positec Group in North America, that its RTKn mowers use a Kress RTK network with no perimeter wire, and that a dealer installs each mower. Source
MowerRanker says the Kress Mission RTKn line is sold and installed through Kress dealers rather than online, with corrections coming from a dealer-hosted antenna. Source
Service Robot Co. is not affiliated with Kress Robotic Mower, and this page is not from Kress Robotic Mower.
What do reviewers say to ask any dealer?
Outside sources, quoted and linked. Check each point on your own sites.
Mowing Magic’s review of the Kress RTKn line says that “for anything major, the installer will need to come out again”
MowerRanker’s page on the Kress KR161, a home model, says RTKn only works where a dealer antenna covers the address, and that support is routed through the dealer.
One KR161 owner in the southern US, in a single review on RatingFacts that was also posted as a comment on Mowing Magic, says Kress told him the signal does not do well in cloudy conditions, high humidity and heavy foliage.
The same owner wrote: “Firmware updates have been pushed out with zero communication”
A different reviewer on RatingFacts, country not stated, says two Kress mowers needed three dealer trips and that emails to Kress went unanswered.
Why talk to an integrator first?
Going direct to one maker gets you that maker’s machine. Service Robot Co. starts from your properties instead. We pick the right machine for them, lease it to you, deploy it, train your crew and service it. You keep the clients and the contracts.
Integrator, dealer or buying direct: how they compareHow does the lease work?
A 3-year lease with a $1 buyout at the end. You see the terms before you commit.

Who should go direct to Kress Robotic Mower instead?
Going direct is the right call for some buyers. We would rather say so than take a lease that does not fit.
- You have a Kress dealer close to your site and want that dealer as your one contact.
- You have open ground with a clear view of the sky and are happy to go through a dealer for install and service.
- You would rather manage mapping, training and service yourself.
- If your sites are mostly small, shaded or full of beds, no robotic mower fits yet. We will say so at the assessment.
